Lars Kolind is passionate about creating value for people, businesses and communities through better management. He challenges the outdated traditions, even the stubborn executives, whose visionless boards and institutions are not worth their cost. Not only does Lars Kolind provoke, he also asks questions, highlights possibilities and shares his experience from 40 years as a CEO and chairman.
Lars Kolind wears many hats: Chairman, entrepreneur, author, idealist, manor estate owner, professor and scout leader, but he is most known for being Group CEO of Oticon. After his time in Oticon, he helped develop many new companies. Today he advises Chinese executives on how to become global leaders. He is the brain behind the transformation of the global scouting movement to the world’s largest leadership development program. Lars Kolind is the author of the bestseller The Second Cycle: Winning the War Against Bureaucracy – Innovation (2006) – the most sold leadership-book ever in Denmark, available in Chinese, Russian, Korean, Thai, Spanish, English, Swedish and Danish. Lars Kolind most recently co-wrote UNBOSS (2012) with Jacob Bøtte and The Movement (2013) in High Performance Series.
Lars Kolind is an honorary professor at Aarhus Business School.
