Andrea Rudolph is a Danish entrepreneur. After having participated in a Greenpeace chemistry campaign testing eight women for damaging and hormone disrupting chemicals, finding that she had the most “poisonous body” in the group of participants, she decided to find a solution to the problem herself.
Hence, in 2006 she created her own skincare company: Rudolph Care. Rudolph Care develops and sells exclusive and effective beauty products in collaboration with a team of the most talented Danish experts, a test panel and laboratory to ensure products that meet all certification requirements for consistency, effect, fragrance and luxury. In 2015, Rudolph Care was first nominated for Børsen Gazelle 2015. The same happened in 2016. As the name ‘gazelle’ suggests, a company will only be nominated for this grand prize if it has had a huge success, thus the name ‘gazelle’. In order to be considered for Gazelle price, a company must have doubled its turnover in 4 years. In other words, Rudolph Care is a company that is flourishing and growing. “We are very pleased to be nominated for Børsen Gazelle 2015 and again in 2016. They are proof that with hard work, creativity and dedicated employees, we have created a healthy business that produces good results – we are very proud,” says Andrea Elisabeth Rudolph.
Rudolph Care is the first beauty brand in the world that has the organic Cosmos-branding as well as the green swan label. In 2014 Rudolph Care developed a swan labelled sunscreen series, Rudolph Sun and Rudolph Sun Kids. In 2017 Andrea Rudolph introduced the Rudolph Care perfume series “Signature Notes” which is the first perfume in the world being both Swan labelled and Cosmos-certified. These products fit Andrea Rudolph’s mission of combining two worlds – which should not be separated in her opinion – luxury and sustainability.
