Biografi

Fatima AlZahra’a Alatraktchi har en PhD i nanoteknologi og molekylær biology. Hun er TED-speaker, har vundet mange priser, anmelderrost skønlitterær forfatter, assisterende professor på Roskilde Universitet samt stifter af high-tech firmaet PreDiagnose, hvor hun har skabt næste generations diagnoseværktøjer til at detektere bakterier på et tidligt stadium. Alatraktchi er ekspert i at udvikle mikro- og nanosensorer til at detektere cellulære molekyler og mikroorganismer og stiftede PreDiagnose for at transformere hendes forskning til konkret praksis, der kan hjælpe brugere.

Som resultat af hendes forskning og akademiske track record har Alatraktchi modtaget en række prestigefulde priser, heriblandt Lundbeck Fondens talentpris til akademiske forskningstalenter i medicin og sundhed og prisen for årets PhD-afhandling på DTU. Alatraktchi var desuden blandt de 5 bedste PhD’er på tværs af videnskabelige discipliner i det danske PhD Cup i 2019. Derudover, listede Forbes Business Magazine hende i 2019 blandt de 30 mest indflydelsesrige europæere under 30 indenfor videnskab and sundhed. Senest er Alatraktchi blevet nomineret til årets entreprenør i biovidenskab i verdens mest berømte entreprenørkonkurrence stiftet af EY. Alatraktchi’s TED talk havde mere end 1,3+ millioner seere i de første 3 måneder.

Biography

Fatima AlZahra’a Alatraktchi holds a PhD in nanotechnology and molecular biology, she is a TED-speaker, a multiple award winner, a renowned fiction writer, an Assistant Professor at Roskilde University in Denmark, and the founder of the high-tech company PreDiagnose, where she has created next-generation diagnostics for early bacterial detection. She’s an expert in developing micro- and nanosensors for the detection of cellular molecules and microorganisms. She founded PreDiagnose to transform her research into a concrete benefit for users.

As a result of her research and academic track, Alatraktchi has received a number of prestigious awards, including the Lundbeck Foundation Talent Prize for outstanding research talents in medicine and health, the PhD thesis of the year award by the Technical University of Denmark and she was appointed as one of the five best PhDs in Denmark across scientific disciplines by the Danish PhD Cup Panel in 2019. Forbes business magazine has listed her as one of the 30 most influential people under 30 in Europe within science and health 2019 and lately she has been nominated for the Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the life science category by EY, the world’s most renowned entrepreneur competition. Her TED talk had 1.3+ million viewers within the first three months of its release.
