Claus Meyer calls himself a gastronomic entrepreneur. For the past 30 years, he has worked in research, consultancy, communication and entrepreneurship to create opportunities and improve the quality in Danish food culture.
In 2003, Claus Meyer co-founded the gourmet restaurant NOMA with René Redzepi. NOMA was voted best restaurant in the world four times. Claus Meyer established the food school and the restaurant Gusto in Bolivia with poor Bolivian Indians. Gusto was voted South America’s best restaurant in 2013. Claus Meyer has written many books about food, vinegar, chocolate and more. He is honorary professor at the Copenhagen Business School (CBS). Claus Meyer sold his food imperium in 2015 to a capital fund, but will continue to manage it. He plans to opens a new restaurant in Grand Central Station, New York in 2016.
